The resort

Puglia between nature, history and sea

A quiet and relaxing place, Borgo Mulino a Vento in Puglia is a stone’s throw from Otranto and from the crystal clear waters of the bay of Porto Badisco, right in the heart of Salento. A place to live intensely and letting yourself be captured, by its history that began centuries ago.

The story of an underground oil mill, the crucial nucleus of a small rural center of the 1500s, which gave its name to the place and surrounded itself with anecdotes and legends. A place of intense oil and wheat production until 1800, it is nowadays an estate surrounded by olive trees, thanks to the renovation work started from an ancient stable in the late 1980s lead by Giuseppe D’Alba and his family.

The shapes, materials and colors of Borgo Mulino a Vento are inspired by the vegetation and architecture of an Apulian village, with its white houses, the warmth of the Lecce stone, olive trees and alleyways. A place where respect for the culture and traditions come together with a service of the highest level.

Among olive trees and Mediterranean essences

The rooms of Borgo Mulino a Vento have a sober style that is inspired by tradition and natural colors, and with a decor that lets the region speak out.
